Most of my memories of school are that of waiting for the bell to ring. Although I never received special services I always struggled with school. I hated the fact that everyone else seemed to be getting it, while I was stuck way behind. Sometimes I would try to keep up in my classes, and other times I would just give up, and end up either cheating, or finding some means to get by. I want to be a special education teacher, because I feel a very strong connection between myself and those who struggle with those sorts of things that seem to come so naturally to others. I have a passion for children, and whether I end up in the regular ed classroom or a the special education classroom, I know that teaching is something that I will always have a passion for, and more importantly something I will always enjoy.
